Heflin, LA Jerry W. Mays Funeral services for Jerry W. Mays will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Phillip Bedenbender and Rev. Teresa Kile officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Jerry was born June 2, 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana and entered into rest November 28, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and Christian who loved his Lord, family and friends. He was full of life, love, and joy for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry James Mays and sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Taylor Outz. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Mays of Heflin, mother Evelyn Harville of Minden, mother-in-law Inez Giddens, sons, Gregory Mays and wife Jessica of Lafayette and Jeff Mays and wife Brandy of Minden, brother Donnie Barmore of Shreveport, sisters-in-law Kay Cosme and husband Marsshall of Shreveport, and Connie Green and husband Jeff of Shreveport, brothers-in-law O\'Neal Moulton of Mt Lebanon and Kenny Moulton of Shreveport and grandchildren, Mitchell and Cody Mays and Dakota and Karley Blackburn and a great host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
