Services for Jerry R. Shirey of Bossier City will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Kendall Docter. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Rose-Neath Bossier. Jerry was born in Camden, AR to James M. Shirey and Evelyn Tutt Shirey and died April 23, 2017 in Bossier City at the age of 78. He retired as a mechanic from the City of Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Glenda Murphy Shirey. Jerry is survived by sons, Jerry Glen Shirey and wife, Djuna and James Daniel of Bossier City; daughter, Loyce Ann Moore and husband, Bruce of Bossier city; sisters, Melba S. Woods of Camden, AR, Sally S. Jones and husband, Ira W. Jones of Bossier City; brother, James W. Shirey and wife, Lenore of Eunice, LA; significant other, Ingrid Dennis and her son, Fred Todd of Bossier City; grandchildren, Sarah Liming, Jonathan and Daniel Allen, Christopher, Matthew, Jacob and Jordan Shirey and three great grandchildren. Honoring Jerry as pallbearers will be Christopher Shirey, Matthew Shirey, Jordan Shirey, Johnny Jones, David Jones and Brandon Liming.
