Jesse ( J.T ) Truett Bruce

A memorial service for Jesse Truett Bruce (J.T.), 83, will be held 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Keatchie Presbyterian Church. Jesse ascended into Heaven on October 20, 2014, at the Bradford Nursing Home in Shreveport, LA. Jesse was born March 11, 1931, in Pleasant Hill, LA. to Jesse Novis and Iver Mae Bruce. Jessie's first love was God. He was a dedicated servant to Jesus Christ and served as a deacon of his church. Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family and having fish fries at his house on Lake Bistineau. His other love, behind God and his family, was fishing. Jesse would spend an enormous amount of time fishing on the lake. He was truly at peace on his boat. Jesse is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Bruce; father, Jesse N. Bruce; mother, Iver Mae Bruce; sister, Vermell Glenn; Brothers, Harold L. Bruce, Kenneth W. Bruce. He is survived b his brother, Raborn W. Bruce (Jerry-Ann); sons, Jesse Bruce, Jr. (Gail), Jamie Machowski (Jeannie), Eddie Machowski, Mike Machowski (Leanne) and Walter Machowski (Norma); daughters, Jackie Fisher, Connie Brown (David), Hollye Nelson (Nick) and Lisa Bruce; 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.   Rose-Neath Southside 2500 Southside Drive 318-687-1256
