Jessie "Jean" Valentine

Funeral services for Jessie “Jean” Valentine, 81, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Bob Moore.

Jean was born on February 22, 1941 to George Warner Mason and Gladys Mason in Three Creeks, Arkansas, and passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Shreveport.

Jean was a resident of Greenwood, Louisiana. She enjoyed growing her own fruits and vegetables, sewing, cooking, spending time with her granddaughter, and socializing with her family and friends. She worked as a telephone operator for 27 years before retiring. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends!

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Valentine; sisters, Betty Owen, Marlene Jones and Josephine Murry; and brothers, Earl Mason and Johnny Mason. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Daniel Valentine, David Valentine; granddaughter, Deanna Valentine; and brother, George Mason.
