Services for Jim Ivey Nutt, 81, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Logansport, LA. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath in Logansport on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 10:00 Am until time of service.

Jim was born December 28, 1933 in Panola County to James and Emma Sholar Nutt and passed away June 19, 2015 at his residence with family by his side. Jim loved talking to anyone even if you were a telemarketer. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. One of the highlights of his life was being outdoors riding in the pasture and tending to his cows. Spending time with family and friends brought joy to Jim's life.

Preceding Jim in death were his wife Billie Jean Hooker Nutt; parents, James and Emma Sholar Nutt; daughter Melissa Dykes, and brother David Glen Nutt.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son Thomas Nutt; grandchildren Brandice Dykes and Devin Dykes; son-in-law Robert Dykes; special friends April Gibbs and Mary Gibbs; and a host of family and friends.
