Jimmy Don Anderson, 79 of Many, Louisiana was born on October 16, 1944, to George Oscar Anderson and Vernon (Pilcher) Anderson in Sabine Parish, Louisiana and he passed away at his residence on November 7, 2023.
He was a welder by trade and he stayed very busy with this profession. If anyone had anything that was broken or not working correctly they would bring it to him to work on. He was a jack-of-all trades and enjoyed tackling new and different projects. The thrill of repairing these things is something that made him happy. Some of his favorite hobbies included him working outside and piddling with his welding projects. He also liked having a vegetable garden, playing his music, and picking his guitar.
Preceding him in death are his parents, George Oscar and Vernon Anderson and his sister, Judy Anderson Grafton. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Martha Lynn (Crittenden) Anderson of Many, LA; his son, William Shane Anderson of Many, LA; his daughter, Donna Lynn (Anderson) Burden and husband, Eddie of Bossier City, LA; his sisters, Kay Baker of Stonewall, LA, and Linda Parker and husband, Barry of Cutoff, LA; his brothers, George Earl Anderson and wife, Ann of Ashland, LA and Michael Lynn Anderson of Ashland, LA; his 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Kyler, and Lyndsey; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
He will be missed by so many family members, friends, and neighbors. May he rest in peace! A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
