Vivian, LA - Jimmy Ray Terry, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2104 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services for Mr. Terry will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Trees Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Crook officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, TX. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, June 9th from 6-8 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA. Mr. Terry was born March 18, 1944 in Vivian, LA to William C. and Susie Owens Terry. He was an oilfield pumper for Calumet Refinery for many years. Mr. Terry was a member of Trees Baptist Church. Mr. Terry is preceded in death by his son, Shannon Wren Terry; parents; brothers, Delbert, Houston and Clyde; sisters, Reba Grisham, Roberta Brumley and Sally Brumley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Berney Terry; sons, Jimbo and wife Tina and Barry and wife, Catherine all of Vivian, LA; grandchildren, Katie and husband Noe, Wren, Blake, Julia, Loren, Natalie, and Nolan all of Vivian, and Katelyn and husband Levi of Atlanta, TX. Mr. Terry is also survived by his brothers, William Terry of Pine Island, Reed Terry and wife Melinda of Blanchard, LA; sisters, Ouida Colley of Logansport, LA, Eva Lowe and husband, Mike of Many, La. Theo Holt of Dora, MO and numerous nieces and nephew and a host of friends. Honoring Mr. Terry as pallbearers will be Lee Green, Jarrod Green, Levi Young, Danny Laney, Jerry Richie and Lewis Jennings. Honorary pallbearers will be Wren and Blake Terry. The family extends their special thanks to Dr. Haynes, Dr. Prine and all other staff at North Caddo Medical Center; Dr. Veluvolu and all other staff at WK-Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
