Jo Ann Ethridge

Graveside services for Jo Ann Ethridge, age 73 of Atlanta, TX will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery, Ida, LA with Bro. Andrew Brewster officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 8^th at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Ethridge was born in Vivian, LA on June 3, 1950 to Robert Lonnie Smith and Hazel Odessa Sessum Smith and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2023. She was a longtime school bus driver at Brightstar School in Doddridge, AR and was a second mother to many of the students. Mrs. Ethridge loved to fish but was devoted to taking care of and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ethridge was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Ray Ethridge; infant son, Robert Wayne Ethridge and three brothers, Donnie Lee Smith, Robert Smith and Chester Doyle Smith. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy Ray Ethridge, daughter, Bobbie J Hartsell and husband, Adam; sister, Katie Smith. She also survived by 2 granddaughters, Laycee Noel Johnson and Jodee Virginia Hartsell; godson, J. T. Hodges and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Mrs. Ethridge as pallbearers will be Bubba Smth, J. T. Hodges, Amanda Norris, Ranell Wright, Drakin Camaillee and Cody Cord.

Honorary pallbearer will be David Sessum.
