JoAnn Youngblood, 80 of Many, Louisiana went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022 at Many Healthcare in Many, Louisiana. A visitation will be held for her on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath FuneralHome Chapel, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana 71449 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Her funeral will begin at 10:00a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Aimwell Baptist Church, 1892 Highway 1215, Zwolle, LA 71486, with Bro. Buster Jordan and Bro. Ronnie Sandifer officiating. Interment will follow in the Aimwell Church Cemetery in Zwolle, Louisiana.
She was born to Dennis W. Armstrong and Ollie Belle (Gass) Armstrong on November 23, 1942 in Zwolle, Louisiana. Jo Ann was a homemaker who devoted her life to taking care of her family and making sure to put their needs first.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dennis and Ollie Armstrong; her husband, Reece Harold Youngblood, Sr.; her daughter, Mary York; her grandson, Colby York; her sister, Darline Armstrong Knippers; her brothers, John Riley Armstrong and Manuel Armstrong; her daughter-in-law, Shelly Youngblood; her stepson, Bill Youngblood; and her stepdaughter, Glennis Zick. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Miller and husband, Todd of Many, LA, Belinda Kelsey and husband, Phillip of Noble, LA, and Inita Lewing and husband, Eddie of Many, LA; her sons, Joe Youngblood of Box Elder, South Dakota and Reece Harold Youngblood, Jr. and wife, Diane of Mansfield, LA; her sisters, Hattie Chambers of Alabama, Betty Gooden of Illinois, Linda Wilbanks of Florien, LA, Genevieve Gordon and husband, Al of Many, LA, Mary Campbell and husband, Jeff of Beaumont, TX, Nell Arterberry and husband, Ricky of Marthaville, LA and Charlotte Heard and husband, Joel of Many, LA; and her brother, Don Armstrong and wife, Julie of Baton Rouge, LA. In addition, she also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 32 great, great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Kenny Youngblood, Phillip Kelsey, Austin Corbin, Austin Youngblood, Derek Ebarb, and Timothy Lewing. Serving as her honorary pallbearer will be Lynn Youngblood.
