Jocelyn Elizabeth Saucier Galloway was born in Shreveport, LA on October 18, 1924. She passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lane Chapel of Noel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. in the church parlor. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Mimi McDowell and Rev. Dave Fortuna. Jocelyn attended C.E. Byrd High School and Draughan Business College. She worked for United Gas and Texas Eastern and with her husband in their family business until their retirement. She was a member of Noel Methodist Church all of her life and loved her church and the members of the Freeman Fellowship class dearly. Jocelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Rose Kavanaugh Saucier, her loving husband of 52 years, Willard Lawson Galloway, her brother, Adolph V. Saucier and sister, Huberta S. Harper. She is survived by her son Don Welton and wife Pat of Pflugerville, TX, and daughter Janet Galloway Meier and husband John of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren Michelle Brown and husband Rodger, Todd Meier and Amanda Meier Hooper and husband David; great-grandchildren John Lawson and Shelby Hooper who were the absolute light of her life! Serving as pallbearers are Todd Meier, David Hooper, Roger Hooper, Chris Middleton, Martin Stuart and John Wood. A very special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Savannah at The Oaks of Louisiana and the ICU staff of Promise Hospital in Shreveport for their tender and loving care. You were the hands of God for our Mom. Memorials may be made to Noel Methodist Church or the charity of donor's choice.
