Joe Eugene Belk Joe Eugene Belk, 89, passed away peacefully May 30, 2015 in Bossier City, LA. Services celebrating his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Joe was born on May 12, 1926 in Ida, Louisiana. He served in the U.S. Navy. Joe enjoyed farming, collecting coins, writing a book on Caddo Parish, building model air planes. Also he donated old farm equipment and antiques to LSUS. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zack and Sallie Belk; wife, Helen Belk; and wife, Sybil Belk. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Billy Belk and wife Carla, Jerry Belk and wife Beth; daughters, Betty Little and husband Bobby, Cathy Robinson and husband Billy; brother, Ben Belk; sister-in-law, Mary Gray; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Honoring Joe as pallbearers will be E.C. Thomas, Bruce Stahl, William Belk, Jacque Greer, Rob Watts, and B.J. Robinson. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be W.H. Greene.
