John Bridwell Bolling
HOMER, LA: Funeral services for John Bridwell "Britt" Bolling, Jr., were held at the First United Methodist Church of Homer, LA, along with the visitation which will begun at 1:00 p.m., with the service followed at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
Britt was born on July 23, 1960, to John B. Bolling, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Robinson Bolling Rogers in Homer, LA. He attended Claiborne Academy of Homer followed by Louisiana Forestry School. Britt owned his own carpentry company until working for Thomas Auto Care for over 13+ years before he retired in 2015. He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church.
Britt was preceded in rest by his parents, John Bridwell Bolling, Sr., and Elizabeth Ann Robinson Bolling Rogers; his step-father, J.C. Rogers; sister, Cindy Ann Bolling; his step-brother, Jeff Rogers; maternal grandparents, B. Evan and Lillian Robinson; paternal grandparents, E. Lamar and Edna Bolling; beloved aunts, uncles, along with other special family and many long time friends.
He is survived by his loving wife , Lori Lynn Harris Bolling; two children, Daniel Hefner and wife Kendall of Ft. Worth, TX, and Amanda Hefner and husband David of Sarepta, LA; five grandchildren, the very twinkle of his eyes, Daden, Asher, Logan, Layla Lynn and Liley Gail; two aunts, Joan Bolling, Bettye Jo and husband Wayne Perry, all of Homer; in-laws, Darrell and Janie Harris of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Brad Rogers and wife Christa of Homer; one sister, Sherry Champion and husband Red of Homer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Daniel Hefner, David Hefner, Bishop Taylor, Rusty Taylor, Dylan Perry, and Brad Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers were Whit Perry, Wayne Perry, Darrell Harris, and Ed Morrison.
In lieu of flowers honoring Britt, his family respectfully request donations be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 357, Homer, LA.
