John Elton Brittain, Sr.

Graveside services celebrating the life of Mr. John Elton Brittain, Sr. will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Pendleton Assembly of God Church Cemetery, 14152 Texas Highway, Many, LA 71449, with Rodney Randolph officiating. John was born July 21, 1942 in Shelbyville, Texas to Verlene (Randolph) Brittain and Elbert Brittain and he entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Many, Louisiana.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Elbert Brittain; his wife of 59 years, Mary Brittain; his brothers, Jimmy Brittain and James Brittain. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, John Brittain, Jr. & wife, Kenda of Anacoco, LA; his daughters, Donna Lites & husband, Scott of Many, LA, and Wendy Self & husband, David of Many, LA; his sister, Bonnie Herndon & husband, Bruce of Shreveport, LA; he also has 9 grandchildren Derret Brittain, Ryan Rousseau, Eric Rousseau, Colton Brittain, Gabryel Self Garlington, Mayci Self Manning; Gage Lites, Haley Self Alexander, and Dalton Self; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Scott Lites, Derret Brittain, Ryan Rousseau, Eric Rousseau, Gage Lites, and Dalton Self. Serving him as an honorary pallbearer will be Colton Brittain.
