John Patrick Dillon

John Patrick Dillon, age 84, passed away at his home on June 30, 2024. He was born on August 20, 1939, in Inkster, Michigan to John Ivon Dillon and Georgia Marie Meyer.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Sims.

In John’s later years he reconnected with a first cousin, Sherrie Freitag of Wilton, California and they shared many memories of their childhood. John retired in 1976 after 20 years in the Air Force. He worked for 24 years at Professional Graphics in Rockford, Illinois before retiring. After retiring he ended up in Branson, Missouri where he met his wife, Earline. John and Earline have spent the last 3 years in Shreveport near her family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Georgia Dillon; and first wife, Betty Dillon. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 16 years, Earline Dillon; son, John William Dillon and wife Trina of Oregon, Illinois; daughters, Sandra Jean Cook and husband Hal of Pickens, South Carolina and Donna Lea Truckenbrod and husband James of Dixon, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his fur baby, CiCi.
