Funeral Services for John V. Evans, 84, will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Joaquin, Texas . A visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Melba Rogers. John was born on June 23, 1936 to Roy Lee Evans and Pearl Ethel Brach in Dallas, Texas and passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 in Shreveport , Louisiana. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force. he enjoyed his free time while in retirement by playing golf every chance he had. He was also loyal husband and great father to his 3 children. John was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Evans and Pearl Ethel Branch. His three brothers and three sisters. John is survived by his wife Betty Evans; Son, Greg Evans; Two daughters, Tracy Yeargan, Terry Lindsey; Sister, Mira Minter; Brother Dewayne Evans; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. Honoring John as pallbearers will be Cody Rodgers, Kolby Barry, Bryan Benamati, Garren Lindsey, Gabriel Loke and Cody Myers. Serving as honorary pallbearers Billy Rodgers and Travis Rodgers. In Lieu of flowers the Family would ask for donations to the AHA.
