SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Johnnie Ray Feazel, Sr. will be at 12 noon, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Murray Hodge, assisted by Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.
John was born September 2, 1936 in Shreveport, LA to Samuel Shelton and Birdie Mary Feazel. He passed away after a long journey with Alzheimer's on April 9, 2016. He was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church.
John was a Shreveport businessman for much of his life and was respected by many for his fair dealings, gentle spirit, and kind heart. He was genuinely happy in all that he did, especially pertaining to his family. As they grew so did his love for them, as did his love for his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, R.C. Feazel. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Ann "Susie" Feazel; son, Johnnie Ray Feazel, Jr., daughter, Terri Lynn Ingram and husband, Stan; daughter, Barbara Sue Harp and husband, John; son, Samuel Earl Feazel and wife, Peggy; sister, Garcia Lee Fair; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Honoring John as pallbearers will be his grandsons.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Randy DelMundo and Live Oak's Health Center for their kind care over the past five years.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the mission's ministry of Summer Grove Baptist Church.
