It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Mark Fleck, formally of Shreveport, who left us on February 3, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on May 11, 1966, in Shreveport, LA.

John dedicated his professional life to serving his community as a Customer Service Technician in the city of Shreveport's meter reading department. He was a proud member of the North Desoto Church of God in Stonewall and actively participated in his local Masonic lodge in Shreveport.

He was known for his love of the Texas Longhorns and animals, especially his dogs, John always had a soft spot for the furry friends he encountered. He also had a passion for adventure, enjoying traveling, rock climbingmountains, fishing, hunting, swimming, and gaming, whenever possible.

In addition to his work and hobbies, John devoted his time to volunteering at the Alexandria AHCS nursing home and chapel in Pineville, showing his commitment to helping others.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Radford.

John is survived by his loving parents, John Danny, and Dorris Radford Fleck; grandmother, Catherine Radford; sister, Kelly Fleck; nephew, Cody Holloway, Uncle David Radford, Aunt Sue Radford, and a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories of time spent with him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home, Shreveport, with Brother Edward L. White officiating. Friends, family, and all who knew him are invited to celebrate the joy he brought to our lives. In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the impact he had on those around him and the love he shared.

Although Mark did have many physical limitations, he loved his family and friends and talked of them often.

God called Mark home and left us with heavy hearts, but we know his body is whole and he will suffer no more. Mark is at peace with Jesus.
