John Alton Gannon, Sr.

LOGANSPORT, LA-Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. John A. Gannon, 84, will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Logansport, LA with Brother Dale Gannon officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA from 5pm till 7:30 pm. John was born on September 26, 1933 to Daniel and Winnie Vernell Gannon and entered into rest on June 11, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Juanita Gannon; son, Phillip Allen Gannon; his parents; sisters, Billie Seago, Omega Ann Mullin; and brother, Dan E. Gannon. John is survived by his son, John Gannon, Jr. and wife Melinda Kay of Shreveport, LA; daughter-in-law, Anne Gannon of Stanley, LA; sisters, Glenda Cawthorn of Stanley, LA, Karen Trosclair and husband Joe of Gray, LA; brother, Tommy Gannon and wife Gloria of Donner, LA, Jerry Gannon and wife Bobbie of Stanley, LA, Kenneth Gannon and wife Nora May of Mansfield, LA; grandchildren, Jason Allen Gannon, Tisa Marie Evans, Jeni Nicole Rhodes, Richard Otis Matthews, Jr., Casey Lynn Withers, Melanie Denae Matthews, and Brook Suzanne Arbuckle; and ten great grandchildren. Honoring the life of John as pallbearers will be Jimmy Evans, Josh Evans, Dakota Williams, Daniel Arbuckle, Dylan Williams and Zack Gannon.
