John W. Guevara

Celebration of Life services for Mr. John W. Guevara, 79, will be held in the Sanctuary of St. John's Berchmans Cathedral Church, Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. with MSGR Carson LaCaze officiating. Interment will follow on the grounds of St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, LA. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation from the hours of 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, June 15, 2015, at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home with a vigil at 6:00 PM. Mr. Guevara was born September 1, 1935, in Noble, LA, to the late William and Johnie Elvia Paddie Guevara and was called to his Heavenly home June 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving children.   Mr. Guevara was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 44 years, Norma Sue Guevara, one son; John Michael Guevara and son-in-law, James G. Moore II. Left to cherish the wonderful memories Mr. Guevara leaves behind his three children; Linda Moore, Becky Culver and husband David and Mark Alan Guevara, six grandchildren; Courtney Adams, David A. Culver, James G. Moore III, Leah Guevara, Taylor Guevara and Lillian Elise Hope Guevara, two great-grandchildren; Cadence Adams, Rylee Culver, six siblings; Rachael Singletary, Clifton Guevara, Troy Guevara and wife Cheryl, Lloyd Guevara and wife Annette, Wilma Arnold and husband Neil, Gracie Cason and husband Floyd, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. Honoring Mr. Guevara as pallbearers will be Mark Guevara, David Culver, David A. Culver, Lloyd Guevara, and Pete King. Memorial may be made to St. John's Berchmans Cathedral Church in memory of Mr. John W. Guevara.
