Funeral services for Dr. John B. Hill will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Father Mark Franklin. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Dr. Hill was born July 1, 1930 in Knoxville, Tennessee and was reared in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He entered into rest June 17, 2014 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a beloved family physician in Minden since 1960. His parents Nathan McGarvey and Mary Lawson Hill, sister Virginia Allen and grandson Ben King preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Joy Hill of Minden, daughters Kathy King and husband Paul of Shreveport, Pam Brewer and husband Gary of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Jerene Cross and husband Jim of Bentonville, Arkansas, Margaret Anne LeJeune and husband Richard of Centennial, Colorado, Rachel Rhodes and husband Ronnie of Mandeville, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
