John "J.B." Bryant Alford

A graveside service for John Bryant “J.B.” Alford, 70, will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Rd., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Andrew Brewster.

John was born on July 20, 1953, to Dennis “Red” Alford in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

After graduating from high school in 1971, he followed in his father’s footsteps and made a career as a hardworking electrical lineman until his retirement in 2018. John loved the outdoors and was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman. John also enjoyed watching football and baseball. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

John was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Alford; his brother, Curtis Cullen Alford, and his wife, Pamela Jean Alford. John is survived by his sister, Denise Alford Kerr (Jay); nieces, Lindsay Cobb (Thor) and Shelley Spence, and stepdaughter, Kim Omell.

Much gratitude and a very special thank you to the extended Alford family for their love and support throughout John’s life and after his death.

Honoring John as pallbearers will be Ted Alford, Jeremy Alford, Fred Alford, Conner Alford, Spencer Smith, and Jay Kerr.
