Minden, LA J.P. Miller went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dee Anders and Pastor Charles Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at Bistineau Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin, Louisiana. Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2017, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. J.P. was born November 21, 1926, in Minden, Louisiana. J.P. served in the Army and Merchant Marines. He was a devoted Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Emma H. Miller, daughter, Patti Lynn Miller and granddaughter, Pamela Kay Miller, two sisters and four brothers. He is survived by son, Ricky G. Miller and wife, Linda J. Miller; grandsons, John L. Miller and wife, Candice, Micheal Miller and wife, Bridget all of Minden, great-grandsons, Gatlin Miller, Price Miller, Rider Miller, and great- granddaughter, Tatum Miller, sisters-in-law, Marie Miller of Orange, Texas, and Faye Miller of Minden, Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Justin Holcomb, Terry Alexander, Casey Alexander, Keith McClung, James Ray Brent, and Horace Miller. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and staff and Dr. Becker.
