A Memorial Service for John Earl Perry, 49, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel.
John was born August 23, 1970 to Leo and Carolyn Perry in Bossier City, Louisiana and passed away August 19, 2020 in Haughton, Louisiana.
John graduated from Haughton High School in 1988 with honors and an opportunity for a full scholarship to anywhere he wanted to attend. He worked for G.E. Rail Car Services, then for many years alongside his father at Dixie Monument in Haughton where he did just about everything. John was an excellent flint knapper and met twice a week to teach the art of flint knapping. He went paintballing at Off Limits every chance he could and enjoyed spending time with his best friends Ronnie Lynn, Bobby Lynn, Troy McDonald, and Mike Myers.
John had a deep love for his daughter, Montana, and his grandson, River, was his absolute joy in life. He was a good father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. To know him, was to love him and he will surely be missed.
John is survived by his daughter, Montana Perry; grandson, River Cruse; parents, Leo and Carolyn Perry; brothers Mike Toney and wife, Donna, and Will Toney and wife, Virginia, and sisters, Becky Gongre and husband, Wayne and Lore Phillips and husband, Jason and of course, best friends, Ronnie Lynn, Bobby Lynn, Troy McDonald, and Mike Myers.
