John Eric Robinson, 40, of Mansfield, TX , formerly of Shreveport, LA passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
For those wanting to pay their respect to his memory and to console his friends and family; visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Couch Chapel, First United Methodist Church in Shreveport, LA. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, LA.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and her husband, Brenda Bishop Grimm and Paul J. Grimm; the loves of his life, his daughters, Hannah Grace Robinson and Sydney Rose Robinson. Step dad and mom; Hollis and Brenda Leach. Also, Alexandra Acosta, and her children Savannah, Elena and Sarah.
Eric is now having a joyous heavenly reunion with his father John Guy Robinson, paternal grandparents James Guy Robinson and Nola Mary Robinson, maternal grandparents Jesse James Bishop and Annie-Lee Bishop.
Eric was a graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Degree in Chemistry. He was employed his entire professional life at Alcon Laboratories in Ft. Worth, TX. Recently, his love of remodeling that he learned from his step-dad, created a new endeavor of buying, remodeling and selling houses.
Eric loved life and life was his friends and family. He was dedicated and loyal to all. From an early age Eric was happy, compassionate, tendered hearted and felt the need to help and protect others. He cherished his times in the woods, on the water, on the golf course and sporting around in his restored 1978 Camaro. No greater LSU Tiger fan will you find. He was most passionate about spending time and teaching his precious daughters, Hannah and Sydney.
Honoring Eric as pallbearers are his long-term friends and family; Larry Clevenger, Eric Tietjen, Clay Morgan, Ryan Stanford, Chris Grimm and Robert Phillips.
Eric will be missed by all that knew and loved him, we have lost a good man all too soon.
A memorial fund has been established in Eric's name at First United Methodist Church, P. O Box 1567, Shreveport, LA 71165.
