John Thomas Terry, Jr

Graveside services celebrating the life of John Thomas Terry, Jr age 82 will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Vivian, LA with Rev. Ken Collins officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, October 24th at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Mr. Terry was known by his family and friends as "Jr" was born in Vivian, LA on April 3, 1938 to John Thomas Terry and Carrie Elizabeth Terry and passed away from this life on October 22, 2020 at the Intensive Specialty Hospital in Bossier City, LA. You always knew when Jr was around because you could hear him whistling before you saw him. He loved to watch "Wheel of Fortune" even though he was not solving any of the puzzles, he was always early everywhere he went, even sometimes being there an hour early just so he knew he wouldn't he late. Jr loved his children and even now he would always tell them to get home before dark and if you came to his home he wouldn't tell you to come in, he would say, "wipe your feet". Jr was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jean Terry; son, Donny Fitzgerald and numerous brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Ronny Fitzgerald and wife, Janet of Dallas, TX and Johnny Fitzgerald and wife, Vicki of Vivian, LA; daughter, Lisa Hale and husband, John of Vivian, LA; 4 siblings, LaVerne Evans, Judy Evans, Bill Terry and wife, Pauline and Guy Terry all of Vivian, LA. Jr is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Josh, Ronnie Jay, Steven, Thomas, Sheri, Haley, Stormy, and Grant and numerous great grandchildren. Honoring Jr as pallbearers will be John Hale, Ronnie Jay Taylor, Josh Fitzgerald, Thomas Fitzgerald, Grant Fitzgerald and Tyler Tullis. Honorary pallbearer will be Brent Westbrook.
