HOMER, LA:Funeral services were held for John T. Wondergem, Sr., age 82, in Michigan City, IN, on Friday, December 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Lambs Chapel Cemetery in Heston, IN. The family received friends on Thursday, December 4, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. John was born on May 25, 1932 in LaPorte, IN to Abraham and Margaret Wondergem. He entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2014, in Arcadia, LA. John was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Alma Mae Sheets Wondergem; three brothers: Mark Wondergem, Ben Wondergem and Jim Wondergem; two sisters: Minnie Larson and Nellie Payne; a son: Eddie Wondergem;a daughter: Vivian Wondergem; a niece: Jeanie Skinner. He is survived by two sons: John Wondergem, Jr. and wife Amy of Homer, LA and Paul Wondergem and wife Ann of Hope, IN; two grandchildren: Kristen Wondergem and Katheryn Wondergem; one great grandchild: Layken; one brother: Abe Wondergem, Jr. of LaPorte, IN; a sister: Jo Ann Larson of LaPorte, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family of John T. Wondergem, Sr., asks that memorial contributions be made to the Michiana Humane Society, 722 Indiana 212, Michigan City, IN 46360.
