Johnnie Faye Parker-Anderson, of Jacksonville, AR, formerly of Stonewall, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend David Venable and Reverend Bruce Parrish. Visitation will be 11:00 am at the chapel prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.
Johnnie retired from Commercial National Bank and later was the co-owner of A&J Pest Control. Johnnie was known for her cooking skills, her compassionate nature and her sweet disposition. She loved her two daughters, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. One of her passions in life was to make desserts for the people that she loved - in fact, she was known for her award winning German Chocolate Cake and her Thanksgiving Dinners.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Vernon Olen and Jewell Dean Parker, her husband, William Jerome Anderson, and a grandson, Greg Anderson Ouzts. Surviving her death are her two daughters, Kalana Angela Anderson of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Tatheena Lagay Anderson Ouzts of Friarson, Louisiana. She also has her siblings: Vernon Olen Parker of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Bob and Dean Williams of Eufaula, Oklahoma; four grand-children, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom loved her very much.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Williams, Mark Williams, Mike Williams, Heith Shepard, David Ouzts, and Scott Parker.
