Logansport, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Johnny Johnston, 64, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with Reverend Dean Register officiating. Burial will follow in O. E. Price Cemetery in Logansport. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Johnny was born in Monticello, AR to John Johnston and Flossie Bradley Taylor and passed away in Natchitoches, LA. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents John Johnston and Flossie Bradley Taylor; and sister Glenda Proctor. The left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years Marshean "Marcie" Johnston; daughter Heather Smith and husband Mark; son Jason Johnston and wife Casey; grandchildren Todd Smith, Joshua Smith, Jasey Johnston, Kayleigh Johnston, Jayden Johnston, and Wyatt Johnston; sister Pat Athey; brothers Ed Johnston, Joe Taylor, Tim Taylor, and Bob Taylor. Those honoring Johnny as pallbearers will be Todd Smith, Joshua Smith, Ed Johnston, Mark Smith, Jimmy Carter, and Gary McConnathy. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Johnston, Tim Taylor, Jayden Johnston, Bob Taylor, Joe Taylor, Brad Athey, Daren Bailes, David Bolton, and Ashley Johnston.
