Johnny R. Lawhorn

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Johnathan "Johnny" Ray Lawhorn, 30 of Many, Louisiana will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Many, Louisiana with Bro. Jimmy Price officiating; interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held for him beginning on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 5:00 PM and it will continue before the funeral from 8:00AM-2:00 PM at the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. Johnny was born May 11, 1991 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Tammy Gail Lawhorn and Howard Lynn Turnley, Sr. and he entered into rest on May 27, 2021 in Lamesa, Texas. As many of you know, Johnny Lawhorn was an amazing father, brother, uncle, and friend. To know him was to love him. He was a person who you could call at any time, day or night, and he would be there for you. He fully embodied a strong man and father. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Tammy Lawhorn of Many, LA; his father, Howard Turnley, Sr. of Many, LA; his son, Jeramiah Lawhorn of Many, LA; his sisters, Candise Turnley of Mobile, AL, Laura Turnley of Many, LA, Holly Turnley of Many, LA; his brothers, Lynn Turnely & wife, Jamie of Many, LA, and Nick Lawhorn & wife Brittany of Converse, LA. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Matt Leslie, Michael Geoghagen, Alex Fowler, Chuck Bardin, Keith Cotton, and Jared Petit. His honorary pallbearers will be Tracey Jones and Boyd Peace. Most important in his life was his son, Jeremiah, who will be affected by this devastating loss. Johnny was devoted to his son; the two of them could be found fishing, hunting, and fixing up old vehicles. Johnny always made it a point to be present in his son's life. We ask that you please lift Jeremiah up in prayer, along with the rest of his family and friends who will be trying to move forward in the days to come.
