Johnny Howard Sims

Funeral services honoring the life of Johnny Howard Sims, 77, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Spring Ridge Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, LA with Reverend Glen Howard officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Spring Ridge Cemetery. Johnny was born May 1, 1942 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to John Jackson Sims and Florence Wilma Carr Sims. He entered into rest on October 23, 2019 in Converse, Louisiana. Preceding Johnny in death were his parents; daughter, Jeannie Marie Sims and numerous brothers and sisters. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny Ray Sims of Converse, LA and Jack W. Sims & wife Brandy of Converse, LA; daughter, Kathy Nelson & husband James Jacobs of Mansfield, LA; grandchildren, Jessie Sims, Bruce Nelson, Brittany Nelson, Ashley Sims, Marissa Sims and Kindra Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Tris Renae Nelson and Keagen Liam Nelson. Serving Johnny as pallbearers will be Jerry Sims, Jeremy Babesh, Joshua Deloach, Ricky Laffitte, James Jacobs and Randy Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Deloach and Man Hines.
