Johnny Sam Tingle

A funeral service celebrating the life of Johnny Sam Tingle, 83, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1305 Ashland Road, in Coushatta with Bro. Wade Petty officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM prior to service time at the church.

Johnny was born on January 14, 1940, in Hall Summit, LA to Selma Pete and Myrtle McCory Tingle and passed away September 14, 2023, in Coushatta, LA.

Johnny was preceded in death by parents; wife, Mary Alice Tingle; and son, John Paul Tingle.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Timothy Tingle and wife, Debbie and Johnny Ray Tingle and daughter-in-law, Lisa Gallien; daughters, Blanchie Snead and husband, Vince and Shannon Stewart and husband, Freddy; sisters-in-laws, Carolyn Bush and Linda Thurman; brothers, Selma Tingle and Terry Tingle; grandchildren, Brandon Foster, Tabitha Guyette, David Tingle, Charlie Weems (Nathan), James Ross Stewart (Mercedes), Matthew Stewart (Chelsea) and Hannah Rae Tingle; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Foster, Kimber Foster, Violet Foster, Sophie Stewart, Emma Stewart, Jaden Stewart, Jalen Stewart, Lane Stewart, Willow Guyette; and special friends, Samantha Hebert, Chelsea Fredericks, Joshua Guyette, and Kelsie Cox.

The family would like to give special thanks to Bristol Hospice, Green Meadow Haven staff, and Christus Coushatta Hospital staff.

Honoring Johnny as pallbearers will be Joshua Guyette, Stevie Tingle, Johnny Ray Tingle, David Tingle, Derrick Dubois, and Samantha Hebert.
