SHREVEPORT - On the morning of January 2, 2019, Jordan Bass, 18, passed away as a result of a tragic automobile accident in Alabama. She was a passenger with her paternal grandparents and cousins who sustained minor injuries.
Jordan Faith Bass, born March 10, 2000, in Shreveport, Louisiana, was baptized on October 14, 2001. She graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in the spring of 2018, where she was a member of the Mustang's Lacrosse team and Beau Chant Choir. She graduated with honors and earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) where she had just successfully completed her first semester as a freshman. She worked part-time at Batteries Plus Bulbs in Shreveport.
Jordan enjoyed writing, painting, poetry, and had a passion for music and singing. She had great curiosity about the world and was a kind and generous young lady. Jordan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her so.
Jordan was preceded in death and is now reunited with her father, Michael Ray Bass and her unborn sibling, Tristan.
Jordan is survived by the family she deeply loved and cherished: Her mom, Fayline Fawn Bass; dad, William David Bell; brother, Cody Alan Bass and wife Maria; sister, Katherine Grace Bell; grandparents, Marty and Karen Martinez of Holly Pond, Alabama; Jimmy and Mary Bass of Bossier City; and Jim and Satoko Florey, of Monroe; her nieces and nephews Franky, Harleigh, Scarlett, Michael and Gabriel; and godparents Jay Covington and Hugh Johnson; as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be at Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. The visitation will be Monday, January 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, at 4 p.m. A reception will follow at the clubhouse of Island Park, 2901 Caribbean Cove, Shreveport, LA 71105. All are welcome and encouraged to come share in Jordan's honor and memory.
