SHREVEPORT, LA - Joseph Cislaghi entered into his eternal home on June 6, 2015. Services celebrating Joe's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Lakeview Methodist Church. His pastor, Reverend Dr. M. Theresa McConnell, will conduct the service. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Park West.
Joseph Cislaghi was born October 11, 1926 in Joliet, Illinois, to Joseph and Ivy Cislaghi. The family moved to Logansport, LA in 1931. Joe joined the Navy serving in WWII. While on leave in Boston, MA, he met Helen Locke. Convincing her to relocate to Louisiana they were married September 18, 1948; celebrating 66 ½ years of marriage.
Joe worked as Building Engineer for both United Gas and Pennzoil. Later he owned the two KarmelKorn Shoppes in local malls. He enjoyed gardening, Bible Study and sharing God's greatness with others.
He is survived by his wife of 66 ½ years Helen L. Cislaghi; sons Gary Cislaghi and wife, Jamie, and Warren Cislaghi; grandchildren, Amber Venters and husband, Eric; Ethan Cislaghi and wife, Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren and sister, Dee Taylor. He is preceded in death by his sister, Margie Whitten.
