KEITHVILLE, LA- A funeral service celebrating the life of Joseph Edward Lindsey, 77, will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Jerry Kennedy. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the funeral home.
Joseph was born on November 18, 1937 to Hervey and Maggie Mae Lindsey. He passed away on November 22, 2014. He raised his children by his hard work as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved dirt track racing at Boot Hill Speedway, and working at the American Legion Hall and working American Legion Bingo. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harrell Lindsey, and sister, Lillie Beth Adkinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years, Elsie Mae Lindsey; sons, Joseph Wayne and wife, Sue, Paul Edward and wife, Terri, Steven Jeffrey, Kenneth Ray and wife, Terry, and Carl Alan and wife, Jane; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and brothers, Eloyd Lindsey and Hervey Lindsey.
Honoring Joseph as pallbearers are Tony Lindsey, Paul Lindsey, Garren Lindsey, Joseph Lindsey, Glenn Stuart Lindsey, and Wesley Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers are John Anthony Benamati, and Daniel Kirkham.
