Chris was born on September 28, 1969 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Joe Miciotto and the late Tona Barbaree Walston and passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Chris attended high school at Loyola College Prep. He continued his education receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 1993 and his doctorate of law from Oklahoma City University in 1997. After practicing law for several years, he transitioned his career to education, teaching at Woodlawn High School and then, Fairpark High School.

He was very active during his teaching career, starting a golf club, attending all the sports events and managing the scoreboard with his coworker, Brian Bucker. He rejoined the legal field in 2014, working with one of his best friends, Allen Cooper. When not working, he enjoyed playing golf at Crooked Hollow, attending LSU games, reading, watching sports, and then taking ridiculously long bubble baths. Chris and his wife, Christie, enjoyed “getting out of town” and taking spontaneous weekend trips. Although he was the president of phone tag, he always enjoyed his catch up phone calls with his Bellaboo.

Chris is preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Joseph A. Miciotto and Helen B. Miciotto; maternal grandparents, Denton A. Barbaree and Clara Jean Barbaree; paternal uncle, Ricky Miciotto and uncle, Wes Barbaree.
