Shreveport, La- A funeral service for Joseph Curtis Neitte, 81, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Shreveport Community Church. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church before service at 10 a.m.
Curtis was born on December 4, 1933. He left this life on March 27, 2015 for the place he dreamed of. He is at the feet of Jesus now. Curtis and Dixie had 5 years and 1 month of total bliss. He was known for his honesty, compassion, and his great love for his family and God. He was a soul winner, and loved the study of God's Word.
Curtis was a member of Adai Tribe, Caddo Nation, which is based in Robeline, La. He always reached out for the under privileged.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Angelina Neitte; brothers, Ruby Gallien and Ernest J. Neitte. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Dixie Williams Neitte; sons, Mike Neitte and Larry Williams; daughters Becky Williams Neitte Long and husband, Kyle, Carolyn Wharton and husband, Dean; grandchildren, Matthew Long, Kimberly Udell, Trent Yarborough, Cody Neitte, Courtney Neitte, Kristen Howard, and Deanna Rivers; 19 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bob Davis, Dean Wharton, Larry Williams, Trent Yarborough, Eric LeBlanc, and Rick Howard.
