SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Josie Hall Oden will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Gregg Davis. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Bossier City, LA.
Josie Hall Oden was born April 23, 1924 in Alden Bridge, LA to Dr. and Mrs. John Bell Hall, Jr. and passed away on April 14, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Oden graduated from Benton High School and Northwestern State College with a degree in accounting. She was a member and former state president of The Rainbow Girls, member and former local president of Desk and Derrick Club and a member of The Eastern Star. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Bossier City, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jessie Mae Madden, brother, John Bell Hall III and sister Rebecca Hall McCuller.
She is survived by sons, Mark Ellis Johnson of Blanchard, Pope W. Oden, III and wife Christi of Shreveport, Stephen Hall Oden, Sr. and wife Janeen of Benton, grandchildren, Matthew P. Oden, Meredith E. Oden, Stephen H. Oden, Jr., Matthew Windmann, Christopher Windmann, Nicole Windmann, Joshua Dillon Oden and Emily Paige Gates.
