SHREVEPORT, LA - Joyce Ann Lewis Canizaro, 70, entered peacefully into eternal life on January 3, 2017. Her strong, unwavering faith in God, and the love of her family and friends carried her through physical difficulties over the past 5 years.
Joyce thoroughly enjoyed music and living life at her home on Toledo Bend Lake. She had been a longtime member of St. Mary of The Pines Catholic Church and The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Also known as "Lady Crawfish", Joyce will be remembered for her creative cake decorating, crafts, extensive collection of crawfish décor, and her talent for remembering dates for anything that took place in her life.
The family will receive friends from 3-6:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. No graveside service.
Mrs. Canizaro was proceeded in death by her daughter, Cecilia (Cissy) Denise Canizaro; parents, Porter and Ruby Lewis, and sister, Portia Thornton. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Frank Canizaro; Daughter, Tammy Canizaro Daniels and Son, Frank Canizaro, Jr.; She adored her Five Grandchildren, Quinton, Candace and Cody Daniels, Jaymon and Hanna Canizaro, and Five Great-Grandchildren, Allyson and Lilly Canizaro; Beretta Canizaro, Teague Daniels, and TayLynn Canizaro; Sister, Wanda Williams; Brothers, Steve, Danny and Eric Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews.
