Joyce Marie Solt

ELYSIAN FIELDS, TX - A celebration of life for Joyce Marie Lewis Solt, 84, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, with Reverend Mike Hicks officiating. Interment will follow after the service at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, La. Joyce was born on September 23, 1930 in Katy, TX to C. C. and Katie Lewis. She went to be with her Lord on September 5, 2015. She was the most loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Roger Solt. She is survived by daughter Debbie Swain of Elysian Fields, Tx, grandchildren Lindsay Smith of Elysian Fields, Tx, Lacey Smith of Shreveport, LA, great grandson Cason Vowell of Elysian Fields, Tx, brother Glenn Lewis of Shreveport, LA, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved canine companion, Bella. Honoring Mrs. Joyce as pallbearers will be Moe Monzingo, Chuck Lizyness, Rick Self, Hubert Causey, Dean Jasper and Bill Gasway. Honorary Pallbearer will be Glen Mayhall. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Hope Community Church of God, 3247 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118. The family would like to thank Hope Community Church of God and Willis Knighton North Staff for the care and love that they have given Joyce.
