SHREVEPORT, LA - Juanita A. Racine, 95, of Shreveport, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Born on April 19, 1920 in Shreveport, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Elizabeth Bell Abrahamson. She was united in marriage to Frank Armon Racine, Sr. on December 29, 1940. Mrs. Racine will be missed more than words can express by her family and friends who loved her so deeply. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ and loved her Savior Jesus. She was a faithful servant to Him and her family. She was very proud of mastering the use of her iPad and loved using it to read the Bible and look at pictures sent by her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Frank Armon Racine, Sr., and her sisters, Mildred Marguerite Abrahamson, Mable Swominen, Helen Dean, and Faye Roadman. Surviving are her brother Charles (Liz ) Ray of Marion, LA; children Yvonne (Buster) Austin of Keithville, LA, Joyce (Jim) Loving of Maryland Heights, MO, and Frank Armon (Linda Wilkins) Racine, Jr. of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren Renée (David) Nance of Port Orchard, WA, Cheryl (Jeff) Smith, MD of Shreveport, LA, Harold E. Austin, Jr., of Houston, TX, Christopher (Makiko Nanri) Loving of Bellevue, WA, Jill (Carlos) Coronado of Cartagena, Colombia, Randy A. (Tracy Malone) Racine of Dallas, TX, Ricky L. (Dixie Waters) Racine of Shreveport, LA, Ronny R. Racine, Ph.D. of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren Rachel (Wesley) Ward, Joshua Ponder, Cherie (Luke) Groninger, Cierra, Jeremy and Jared Smith, Tyler and Aren Loving, and Sophie and Rafa Coronado, Ethan, Lewis and Hudson Racine, Jacob Racine and Emma Oakley; great-great-grandchildren Ava and Bella Ward and Hudson Groninger; nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and her beloved canine companion, Toby. Pallbearers will be Harold E. Austin, Jr., Randy A. and Ricky L. Racine, Jeremy, Jared and Jeff Smith. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Celebration of Life with Bro. Darwin Hunter of Sunset Church of Christ officiating will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel (casual attire). Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
