Shreveport, LA - Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Juanita Allen Rich, 86, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the sanctuary of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA, with Bro. Chad Hardbarger officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 30, 2015, on the grounds of Joplin Cemetery, Mount Ida, AR, with Bro. Roy Brooks officiating under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside location. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at11:00 A.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Juanita was born November 22, 1928, in Union Parish, LA, to the late Edward and Leona Acree Allen and was called to her Heavenly home April 24, 2015, in Shreveport, LA . She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Juanita was an avid reader, she was very passionate about her sewing and quilting, she was a PTA member, Cub Scout den Mother and Sunday School Teacher. She was the hostess of many parties wherever she lived, where she served delicious Mexican dishes. Mrs. Juanita worked as a cashier service employee for school lunches; she was a Pre-School Teacher at Immanuel Christian School in El Paso, TX. Mrs. Juanita was co-owner of Bob Rich Foods, Wholesale Distribution Inc. and Sales Rep for twelve years. She was known to many as "GG" starting with her grandchildren followed by several families whom she adopted through friendship. Mrs. Juanita was the president of the PEP Club Senior Group. Mrs. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband; Robert Herman Rich Sr., two siblings. Left to cherish the beautiful memories Juanita leaves behind are her two sons: Robert and Brian Rich, one daughter; Pamela Bennetsen and husband Peter, four sisters; Bessie Mae Acree, Mary Nell Green, Eloise McFadden, Marie Ryan and Husband Harold, three brothers; Jack Allen and wife Hilda, Bro. Royce Allen and wife Jane, Robert Allen, two grandchildren; Kristina Shaffer and husband Chris, Bob Bennetsen and wife Stacey, three great-grandchildren; Savannah and Duncan Shaffer, and Caylin Bennetsen, along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. The family would like to express Special thanks to Bro. Chad, Herman and Joyce Palmer; Glenda Phillips and all the many other friends and family for their love and support to our mother.
