Memorial services will be held for Judith Roxanne Dillard, 53, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 East 5th Street, Homer, LA on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Caroll Holmes and Rev. William Colvin, officiating.
Roxanne was born August 14, 1962 in Homer to Jerry W. and Judy Pixley Dillard. She entered into rest Friday, May 6, 2016 in New Orleans, LA following a lengthy illness. Roxanne was a 1980 graduate of Claiborne Academy and a 1994 graduate of Northwest Technical College in Nursing. She practiced nursing for over 20 years at HealthSouth, Homer Hospital and Claiborne Manor. Roxanne was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and Mimi.
Roxanne was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. & Mrs. William Dillard and Mr. & Mrs. Hulon Pixley and her grandson, Austin Randall Brown, all of Homer.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Judy Dillard of Homer; son, Justin Brown and wife, Kristen of Homer; 2 daughters, Jessica Lee and husband, Robert of Homer and Chelle Hunter and husband, De of Haynesville; 2 sisters, Stefanee Spurlock and husband, Craig of Arcadia and Jennifer Corbitt and husband Jarrett of Haynesville; brother, Jeff Dillard of Homer; the love of her life, 5 grandchildren, Zoe, McKayla, Ady, Rocky and Marlee; Special friend, Connie Boykin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her body was donated to science and her remains will be laid to rest in Tuggle Cemetery when returned.
In lieu of flowers honoring Roxanne, her family suggests the American Lung Association, Susan G. Komen or St. Jude.
