Funeral Services for Mrs. Judith Hunter Smith, 74, will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday, February 27, 2021at 11:00 a. m. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent. Officiating the service will be Dr. Tom Harrison and Dr. Larry Williams.
Judith was born in New Orleans, LA on October 23, 1946 to W. Orie Hunter, Jr. and Ruth \"Darlin\" Honeycutt Hunter and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness.
She retired after 52 years of service as a legal secretary at Bradley, Murchison, Kelly & Shea and its predecessors. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church for over 60 years and sang in the Adult Choir for many years. She was also a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her grandson, Cooper Ray. She is survived by her husband, Ballard L. Smith of Shreveport; two sons, Bryan E. Krippendorf and wife, Shannon of Katy, TX and James Eric Krippendorf and wife, Hershey of Shreveport, LA; a daughter, Ruth Anne Ray and husband, Bill of Shreveport, LA and a step-daughter, Ashley Smith Cascias and husband, Charles of San Antonio, TX; four granddaughters, Kierstyn, Peyton, and Olivia Krippendorf of Katy, TX and Leilani Iem of Lafayette, Louisiana; her sister, Deborah H. Berry and husband, Rick of Bossier City, LA; two brothers, W. Orie Hunter III and wife, Debbie, and Charles E. Hunter and wife, Cathy of Shreveport, LA and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Adult Choir Ministry Fund of Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Dr., Shreveport, LA 71105 or to the charity of one\'s choice.
