Judith "Shine" Kidd

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Judith "Shine" Kidd, 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp and Rev. Glen James. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Shine was born July 6, 1936 in Port Arthur, TX to Wiltz Paul and Vernice Montondon Boudreaux and passed away on September 16, 2015. Shine was a homemaker and was proud of her four children who are all college graduates. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Laughter was a huge part of her life and she brought so much joy to others through her jokes and great sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 38 years, Y.S. Kidd, Jr., and her sister, Joyce Pyle. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kerry Kidd and Wagner Pena, and Steve Kidd and Gayle; daughters, Sherry Kidd Hennigan and Bruce, and Judy Kidd; grandchildren, Sean Hennigan and Jennifer, Casey Hennigan, Mary Martha Murphy and Preston; sister, Betty LeBlanc and Jim; brother, Tim Boudreaux; sister-in-law, Doris Burnitt; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to express their special thanks to Diane Brown, the staff at the Chateaus at Montclair Park, Live Oak Health Center and St. Joseph Hospice for all the care and support they gave to Shine.
