Judy Guest Pinnix

A Memorial Service for Judy Guest Pinnix, 70, will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor William David Rice. Judy was born on August 5, 1950 to Granville Augustus Guest and Loise Lucille Eads Guest in West Point, Mississippi and passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Shreveport. Judy was a resident of Shreveport and worked as a school teacher in West Point, MS, Glen, MS and spent the majority of her time at Timmons Elementary in Shreveport until she retired in 2010. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 1972 and was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Judy is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, James Reese. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Emily Pinnix Robert and husband, Steve Robert; grandchildren, James Patrick Robert and Matthew Holland Robert; and brothers, Phillip Reese and David Guest. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Magnolia House at The Glen and special sitter, Michelle Duncan, for all the care, love and compassion she gave to Judy for the last six years. We also want to thank Lifepath Hospice and the members of Brookwood Baptist Church for all their prayers. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Centenary College Choir or St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
