Judy Pearl Sibley Lary, 75, of Midland, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 18, 2025. Born on September 18, 1949, in Natchitoches, LA, to Walter Cecil and Jewel Pennington Sibley, Judy grew up in Minden, LA, graduating from Minden High School in 1967. She continued her education at Northwestern State University, Natchitoches. On August 9, 1970, she married the love of her life, Andrew James Lary. They settled in Midland, TX, where they raised their four beautiful daughters. Once the girls were in school, Judy would return to the family lifework of teaching. She welcomed all students and was loved by all. She won the school spirit award so many times that when she retired, they retired the trophy and gave it to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jewel.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 54 years, Andy of Midland. Daughters Robyn Adams (Greg), of Cibolo, TX; Wendy O’Connor (Courtney), of Fayetteville, NC; Misty Ketcherside (Nick) of Midland; and Holly Lary of Midland. Granny loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchild. They include Kevin O’Connor (Niara Pelton); Brandon Adams; Ashley Keaveney (Will); Cameron O’Connor; Landon Westmoreland; Melanie O’Connor; Trenton Ketcherside; Austyn Ketcherside and son Jahseh Brown; and Ryker Ketcherside. Judy is survived by her siblings Barbara Fischer (Scott); Cecil Sibley (Rachel); Sandra Robinette (John); Wanda Bagwell (Billy); Wayne Sibley (Terri); along with her sisters-in-law Diann Greer and Brenda Thomasson. Aunt Judy, known for her Judy eye’s, loved her 9 nieces and 6 nephews and countless great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as Pallbearers include Kevin O’Connor, Brandon Adams, Cameron O’Connor, Landon Westmoreland, Trenton Ketcherside, and Will Keaveney and Honorary Pallbearers Ryker Ketcherside and Jahseh Brown.
The family will receive friends from 9am - 11am and the service to be officiated by Wayne Sibley at 11am on February 22, 2025, at Rose Neath Funeral Home, Minden, LA, with the interment to follow at Minden Cemetery. Judy’s legacy of generosity continues through donations of coats to children in need. Memorials can be made to local children’s non-profits.
