Julia (Judy) Spitzfaden Craton

Marion, LA Julia (Judy) Spitzfaden Craton Julia (Judy) Spitzfaden Craton, 76 died peacefully December 6, 2016 at Life Care Specialty Hospital in Ruston, Louisiana. Julia was born in New Iberia, Louisiana February 24, 1940. The daughter of Catherine Burley Spitzfaden and Adolf Spitzfaden. Judy graduated from Minden High School and was a high school most beautiful. She loved to swim and compete on the swim team and loved synchronized swimming. She worked for Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company 25 years retiring in 2002. She was preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart, husband Bobby Craton and her treasured dog, Baby. She is survived by her sister Catherine "Kitty" Holyfield of Shreveport, three daughters and one son, Amanda Locke Williams and husband Tim of Marion, Pamela Locke Hartsell and husband David of Bullard, Texas, Janet Locke Clark and husband Ron of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Clayton Long and wife Jennifer of Minden, many grandchildren that loved their "MiMi", Dana Barnard, Steven Duck, Autumn Moreland, Ashley Hartsell, John and Katie Clark, Courtney Woodard and Abby Long, great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Blair, Evan, Gracie, and Zoe, and nephews, Brian and Robbie Holyfield. Visitation will be held December 9, 2016 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held December 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. We love our MiMi and understand the toll Alzheimer's has taken on all our family and her friends. She loved our Lord Jesus Christ and died at peace knowing His arms were wrapped around her comforting her, as she was surrounded by her family. Special love to Mandy who cared for her tirelessly the last years of her life. Special thanks to the nurses, caregivers and staff at Arbor of Ruston and Life Care Specialty Hospital.
