Karissa Nichelle Jacob, age 30, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Karissa loved to sing, and her voice brought joy to everyone who heard it. Music was always a source of happiness and expression for her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother. Shantelle Jacob (Willie) of Marksville; sisters, Ja’mesya C. Browhow of Baton Rouge, Ja’maya C. Browhow of Marksville, and Tytiana Browhow of Grand Prairie, TX; brothers, Willie Jones of Monroe and Marion Browhow of Chicago, IL; aunts, Annette Jacob of Baton Rouge and Linda Jones of Baton Rouge; uncles, Samuel Jones, Jr., Gary (Kita) Jones, Shaft (Calisha) Jacob, Kevin (Ashley) Jacob, and Perry Jacob; niece, Emily Browhow; step nephew, Jcion Jones; and step niece, Ja rya Jones; she is also survived by a host of cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Emily Ford Jacob; step grandmother, Elois Browhow; and step grandfather, Eugene Browhow.
