SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Katherine Bordelon Guillot, 77, will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel in Shreveport, LA. Roger Haynes and Bruce Guillot will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins. Katherine was a native of Avoyelles Parish and has resided at The Glen Retirement Center in Shreveport, LA, since 2012. She went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; surrounded by her adoring children on May 25, 2015. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bossier City, LA. Kate is preceded in death by her loving husband, Truman "Pete" Guillot; her parents, Stenette and Inene Bordelon; and her sister, Ina Potmesil. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Darlene Guillot Barnhill, Cathy Guillot Farrar and husband, Jim, Pamela Guillot Haynes and husband, Roger, Richard "Ricky" Guillot and wife, Julie and Angel Guillot Pasteka and husband, Milton; one brother, Kenneth Bordelon and wife, Teddie Jo; and one sister, Phamy Gaspard and husband, Noel. Kate had eight grandchildren, Scotia Moss (Kevin), Michael Barnhill (Kim), Wesley Rogers (Kim), Katie Harrison (Clay), Rick Guillot (Charla), Coleman Haynes (Megan), Victoria Barnhill ( Ryan Bennett), and Dillon Haynes (Annie), ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Kate as pallbearers will be Michael Barnhill, Wesley Rogers, Rick Guillot, Coleman Haynes, Dillon Haynes, Ken Bordelon, Kevin Moss, Stacey Stout and Clay Harrison.
