A memorial service honoring the life of Katherine "Kat" Dell Parker, 22, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Cliff Estes. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Pisgah Cemetery in Bernice, Louisiana.
Katherine "Kat" Dell Parker was born September 3, 1998 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Acie and Wanda Dell Parker and passed away, Friday, May 28, 2021.
Kat graduated from Benton High School and earned a Certificate of General Studies from Bossier Parish Community College. She was currently studying to be an elementary school teacher and working at Academy Sports. Kat was a member of the National Honor Society, the Benton High Choir, Venture Crew and she ran cross country for both Benton High and BPCC. Her senior project for Benton High School was building a sensory walkway at Cypress Nature Park for autistic children. A member of Airline Baptist Church, Kat had a beautiful soul. She was loving and caring to everyone. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dogs, Chewie and Bruno.
She is preceded in death by her father, Acie Parker and brother, Dale Parker. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Wanda Dell Parker; brother, Melvin Anderson and his wife, Holly; sister, Caroline Vines; nephew, Zachary Anderson; grandparents; Jerry and Dianne Alexander; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Serving Kat as honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Adams, Jacob Echols, Scott Edwards, Jay Emory, Brian Moll, Jeff Pope, James Sadler, Shawn White, and Michael Williams.
